Emergency sanitation

WASTE, together with the Red Cross movement and Oxfam GB, developed solutions for Emergency Sanitation:

• S(P )EEDKITS
• Emergency Sanitation Project.

Together with the University of Vienna, a kit for assessing faecal sludge in emergency situations was developed funded by the Humanitarian Innovation Fund (HIF).

The emergency sanitation work of HIF attracted the attention of international NGOs such as ACTED , Solidarités Internationale (with the Octopus site) and the Government of the Netherlands (see picture visit Minister of Development Cooperation, Ploumen to WASTE’s toilet).
